Which guidance are the dental SOPs based on?
Current guidance for practices in England, including HTM 01-05 for decontamination, the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 and IR(ME)R 2017 as amended in 2024, Resuscitation Council UK quality standards for primary dental care, IACSD sedation standards, HTM 07-01 for waste and the GDC Standards for the Dental Team.
Are the SOPs ready to use straight away?
They are a complete, professionally structured starting point. Your setup answers fill in local details automatically, then your registered manager or principal dentist reviews, adapts and approves each SOP before the team signs it. Responsibility for your SOPs always stays with your practice.
Do you cover NHS, private and mixed practices?
Yes. You tell us your practice type in the setup questions, and SOPs such as NHS charges and exemptions apply where relevant. You can archive any SOP you don’t need.
We don’t offer sedation or CBCT. Is that a problem?
No. Leave those SOPs archived, or keep them as drafts in case you add the service later. Only approved SOPs are issued to staff.
Do locums need their own login?
Yes. Each locum gets their own access, limited to the practices you choose and set to expire on the date you pick.
How does payment work?
